1970 DRAGONCRAFT FLATTIE with a 468 BBC
This boat was professionally restored and updated to
todays standards. The entire hull has been redone to ensure a
lasting timeline for many years to come.
The hull was stripped down to the glass on the
outside as well as the inside. The coring in the floor has been
replaced with end cut balsa and vacuume bagged in to strengthen the
floor 10 times stronger than the original flooring. The stringers
are one piece fur wood stringers. There is an overlay on the floor
of Mahogany that wasn't installed properly and needs to be trimmed
out, the floor needs a flow coat over the balsa to let it shine and
you will have the best looking floor in the boating industry. The
outside had the body line removed to prevent water from standing on
the deck to keep the boat looking cleaner when it gets wet.
All of the hardware has been replaced with todays
standards of performance boating products. Stainless lines, polished
parts as well as powder coated parts. It also has TELEFLEX steering
not the pulley system found in most boats of this type.
The engine is a 454 BBC that has been bored .030 over
to make it a 468cid. It has an EDELBROCK PERFORMER intake manifold,
a 750 Holley Double pumper carb. MSD complete ignition system
(distributor, coil, digital 6 ignition box), 10.5 - 1 comp. ratio, a
mild cam built for torque to push this boat 80 mph.
It also has a Casale top loader v-drive with reverse
and 12% gears, 3 blade bronze prop for a smooth ride at all speeds
as well as the ability to pull any skiier at any speed they want. It
has dual stainless saddle tanks with separate fuel guages in the
dash so you know how much fuel you have in each tank at all times.
oil temp., oil pressure, volts, coolant temp., tach. guages all
matching. main battery disconnect switch, ignition switch with key,
adjustable cavatation plates with a handle control so you can change
for skiing or bring them up to go FAST!!!
It comes on a dual axle trailer with chrome fenders,
chrome wheels, all custom lighting, and low profile tires. (some new
bearings and 1 new hub in the last year)
This is a great starter boat or a great all around
boat if you like to go fast, hang out with your boating friends or
just like to cruise the rivers and lakes.
